The U.S. has shown a steady growth of interest in Anime as well as manga. The African American community in the country has embraced anime like no other. With this growing demand and affection, we can already see famous publishing houses like Kodansha, the publisher of Attack on Titan, establish headquarters in New York. Next up is India. One of the countries that have received anime grandly is India. The fanbase of Indian watchers is ever-growing, with fans streaming popular shows like One Piece, AoT, Naruto, and Dr. Stone routinely. India boasts one of the largest anime libraries available on Netflix. This does not stop only at series but movies as well. Movies like 5 Centimetres Per Second, The Garden of Words, and A Silent Voice are also watched and adored in India.
3. Canada
Canada has also shown spectacular growth in the number of daily anime watchers. This made Netflix add a plethora of anime for Canadian watchers. People have literally grown up with classics like Slam Dunk and Detective Konan in China. Now with Netflix taking the stage for an anime platform, China has more and more people watching online every day. Apart from traditional Japanese anime, China also has Chinese products like Shi Xiong—a Zombie-themed anime available on Netflix. This does not mean any decline in regular anime watchers. And finally, the native country itself, Japan. Japan has the most anime available and streaming in the world. This is quite obvious as the demand for anime is highest in its home country. Apart from anime, Japan also reads the most manga, which makes it quite the perfect ground for launching new anime. The unique thing about Japan’s anime library is that most of them are not available in English and nor do they have subs. It’s all Japanese like it is to be expected. The anime available in Netflix Japan’s library are available nowhere else, not even China which is its closest competitor. Apart from that, with Japan being the home country of anime, there are also countless anime theme-parks that are a major tourist attraction for Otakus.
