Be it a movie or anime, a new Sword Art Online addition was predictable. The light nov is far from finished and has a lot to the source to be animated. Additionally, A-1 has also claimed that they would continue producing Sword Art Online as long as Reki Kawahara continues writing it. The main criticism of the anime series came from the fact that it was not following the light novels. For fans who had been keeping up with novels, this was unsettling. Reki Kawahara publishing his Sword Art Online Progressive light novels in 2012. The light novel consists of six complete volumes and an ongoing seventh volume. So far, the release date, trailer, cast, and staff of the anime have been announced. Here are all the details related to the Sword Art Online Progressive release date and everything more. Sword Art Online Progressive: What To Expect? (Based on the Light Novel)
The Light Novel Sword Art Online Progressive is somewhat like a retelling of the first season of Sword Art Online. But, there is way more to the plot. The story takes place from the perspective of Asuna, which gives a new perspective into the plot. Reki Kawahara’s love for Kirito was always acknowledged, but his portrayal of the same through a new character was too phenomenal to go unnoticed. Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria Of A Starless Night takes place in the Aincrad Arc. Progressive moves back to the beginning and takes things slowly. The story moves floor by floor and develops important detail. What is even more interesting in Progressive is the impactful development of Kirito and Asuna’s relationship. However, Sword Art Online Progressive is not a reboot of the first season. It is based on an original novel by Reki Kawahara and is an adaptation of the same. Meaning, even if the movie might take fans back to the events of season 1, there is still going to be a lot of addition. The movie will cover the first volume of the Progressive series, called the Aria Of The Starless Night. It will begin three weeks after the game had begun and will contain events from the final days of Floor 1. This movie will mark the beginning of the anime adaptation of the Sword Art Online Progressive series. Also Read: 5 Amazing Anime Like Black Clover To Watch Online
