Release Date For Guardian: The Lonely and Great God
As of now in March of 2021, there is literally no new information on the renewal of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God for a second consecutive season. To be honest, there are literally no chances we will ever hear from it. Back in 2017, Gong Yoo who plays the role of Kim Shin tweeted that there will be no second season for Goblin. He stated that some stories are better if they end this way. The first season of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, originally ran from December 2, 2016, to January 21, 2017, on tvN. The series as of now is the fifth-highest rated Korean drama in cable television history. Koreans are clearly known for respecting art so they are not much known to renew a show quickly as it gets massive success. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t discuss what we are expecting from the second season of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. So let’s begin. Read More: What To Expect From True Beauty Season 2?
Expected Plot – Guardian: The Lonely and Great God
So, the original story of season 1 of Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, saw Kim Shin’s backstory. A highly-praised military general who was cursed with immortality after being framed as a traitor. The only key to break his immortality and him being Goblin looking over the world for 900 years is a Goblin’s Bride. So after almost 900 years of waiting Kim Shin meets Ji Eun-Tak and they eventually live together. But, at the end of season 1, a lot of questions were left unanswered. The end didn’t actually answer if Kim Shin and Ji Eun-Tak’s love released the curse of Kim Shin. Did the love succeed or Kim Shin is still a Goblin who was left in the air with a happy ending? A second consecutive season may have answered this question one way or another. Probably with clues that the curse is free or maybe it’s not yet. Plus, there is a lot more to work on if Kim Shin wants to break free. Read More: KDrama Oh! Master: Everything You Want To Know
